Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals announces Scholarships

The Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals (HAHMP) is proud to inform you that we are now accepting applications for the 2014 Scholarships for high school and college undergraduate students interested in journalism, public relations or any media related profession.

Who is elegib le to apply for HAHMP Scholarships:

High school seniors, college undergraduates and first-year graduate students who are pursuing careers as print, photo, broadcast or online journalists or in public relations.
Students must plan to attend, full-time for the entire academic year, a community college or university that is within the United States or Puerto Rico. Applicants must reside in the Greater Houston Area

Deadline:

POSTMARK DEADLINE: Extended to March 14, 2014

Scholarship Amount:

2014 SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: $3,500

TV PRODUCTION VOLUNTEERS / SEGMENTS NEEDED FOR “THE VICTOR TREVIÑO SHOW”

Harris County Precinct 6 Constable Victor Treviño hosts a one-hour public affairs TV program called “The Victor Treviño Show” which airs live every Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., on Comcast Cable TV Ch. 17 and AT&T U-Verse TV Ch. 99. The weekly show is produced in partnership with the Houston Media Source and relies upon volunteers. If any HAHMP students/members are interested in an internship, volunteering, or submitting a produced segment (featuring a community event), please contact me directly. We welcome the opportunity to serve as a platform featuring dynamic video production!
