A Taste of TV: Houston on the Move at the Houston Hispanic Forum

The Houston Hispanic Forum hosts the 25th Annual Career and Education Day which is an event designed to promote higher level education among 6th through 12th graders. Career and Education day consists of information on the benefits of attending college, the scholarship and financial aid application process and much more. Houston on the Move, Produced by the Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals, will host a workshop to give students a hands on journalism experience. This workshop will consist of a camera set up to allow student attendees to interview local celebrity guests. At the end Marine Hernandez, Houston on the Move host and executive producer and Claudia Deschamps, Houston on the Move co-executive producer will review and give pointers to the student reporters.

Houston on the Move Houston On The Move is a half-hour, four-segment show that features motivating stories of individuals and groups who are making their mark in our community, non-profit organizations and programs that are helping Houstonians in need, local artists who are moving Houston culturally and those attractions that put locals and visitors on the move.

Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals (HAHMP)- HAHMP was created as a non-profit organization to provide support for Hispanics involved in the gathering and dissemination of news, to encourage and support the study and practice of journalism and communications by Hispanics, and to promote a fair and accurate portrayal of Hispanics in the media.
